Morning all,

Just got a call from a irate customer that I worked for last year via sub-contract. I worked for company "G" which was contracted by company "A" to do some development on a project.
Did all the work but while testing/demo'ing the project I was moved off the account after I brought it forward to management and clients that the spec created by company "A" was not taking all the requirements into account and was leaving me looking like a d!ck in meeting. 4 months later I leave company "G" and all is well. Atleast that what I thought.

Today a friend calls me up and asks me for my project notes as the client is fuming that nothing is in a production stage . Also no-one from company "G" is allowed to go to the client as company "A" has refused to pay for 70% of the work.

Typing out a mail to the client and my friend explaining what happened and the "fix". Has this happened to anyone else before and is this the danger of sub-contracting .
Feel really bad for the client though and if I had the time I'd go through and assist which I unfortunately don't have.

Yes it has. But you left the company so ignore it and move on or get them to pay you for your time. Its a cut throat industry niceties will get you no where.

Yup it has, and they started taking advantage of this and my good nature until I eventually told them to **** off and sort out their own ****.

dont give into explaining what you did. Company A are the douche nozzles because they can't communicate to client and company G or prepare proper specs
