B]Congrats[B/], and Thanx, I connected You free proxy and I have to say HUGE[B/] difference. I have been running various international bandwidth tests the past few weeks and I find on quick repeating of the tests a major improvement in international speed performance but for a few test I think is due to busy old USA. See the result here. Where You see red is where the difference show.

My poor average of 350 - 450 will now yield 600+ Kbps on average. I could only manage a few short spikes of up to 847 - 880 kbps on broadband and other tests before. Now more often than not. The tests indicates to me that about 800 Kbps average is the max I could get of ADSL 1024. Telkom test shows +-900 average. ???? Right
The line quality on Broadband test had a first ever report for my setup of Zero retransmissions or packet losses. QoS shows also a marked improvement where I now get 99% consistently compared to 50 -79% before. The time to pause also dramatically reduced.(I wanted to return this Netgear modem due to the bad performance I achieved ). Although I think the router is now bypassed due to VPN routing not??. Thus the router portion is still a possible cause of the signal quality failures. A Microcom faired better in this department
A few questions:
How long is this service available
Any use restrictions
Where is routing info stored. Xp or router setup.
Thanx again for a great effort and achievement to make this available. I do not understand how come TELKOM do not give us this service which we pay for anyway.
Just goes to prove I was right arguing with TELKOM re their best effort service and stating I do not think the problem is with my setup but their shaping algorithm. What is the differance ?
