Give us a rundown of what impressed you?
 
played it through 3 times now. short but sweet :P

  • atmospheric - really well done
  • intense action with some in your face (literally - nice touch)
  • not feeling like floating cam with gun/weapon attached
  • story seems going to be good
  • angles/shots well done (can see film directors influences) - you don't just scale or interact you actually interact and scale it from that exact point of view as it should have been as to real life
  • graphics
  • engine so far seems optimized

but this is all in all a horror fps and as with all games give it a try first ;)
has controversial themes - expect it to get doom treatment...

...runs fine enough with highest settings on my rig and looks gorgeously awesome as to bioshock that jokes up here and there, must say i am impressed with the engine it uses. [2g ram, 4600+ daul amd, 2x7800gts sli]

Runs smoothly with "2g ram, 4600+ daul amd, 2x7800gts sli" ? That's not saying much, if it was anything but smooth it would be a disaster.

What engine is it, if I remember right Bioshock uses UE3, but it's late and I can't remember much right now.

yes bioshock used u3 - but underutilized i will say as well as lack of optimization at least not in the degree that doom 3 was.
 
All I can say is wow...the Mercury engine is very nice indeed, even rivals the new UE3 in many deparments! The atmosphere is very nicely done with the main characters well detailed and a bloody mess during a firefight. The special skills your team uses really make the game interesting, I mean controlling a sniper shot in midflight is new to me! :p
 
lol Bioshock.... UT3 is beter looking IMO :D but this game is just ama-zing! :D
