Well, we won Saturdays game by the skin of our teeth. Granted the injuries to some of our most experienced players, do you think we will have enough to pip to Kiwis given their phenominal run of form?

Only if they play Pretorius vs Carter.

If not, there is no hope.

Man of little hope. I think we can do it and I think we have a better chance of doing it with Butch. It is also Butch's home ground which will help out even more.

I have all the respect in the world for Butch.

However, Carter is the best no 10 in the world. Tactical, he'll out play Butch like a primary school boy. Butch is great on defence. He does lack the tactical side of playing no10. We need someone who can read the plays and defend and couter attack accordingly. I fail to see Butch doing that.

There is no better tactical player in SA than Pretorius. However if he has a bad day

My memory is a little fuzzy here and so I stand corrected. I remember us playing NZ (I think) and we were winning and would have won except for a stupid sub of Pretorius on for James late in the 2nd half (which turned out to be an injury) and that was the turning point of the game. We were winning but we lost due to (imho ) stupid unintelligent play and very bad kicking from Pretorius.

EDIT : It was South Africa vs Australia in Sydney, Tri Nations, 5 August 2006, 18-20

I hear you.

There is however a difference coming on as a Sub and playing the full game. This has been proven with every sub. Except of Impact players. It's really difficult to read a game from the side imho.

In todays day and age, can't we just steal Carters blood and make a clone? We can even alter it and make him black :D:D:D

Well you're right.

This is going to be a RWC final that will be played on Saturday and man it will be good rugby. Win or lose :D

LOL!

Well I think that everybody has their weakness and all it takes to pummel the AB's into submission is to dent their self-confidence. It starts at the time of the haka. Meet them on the halfway line while they do their silly war dance, stare them down and challenge them physically. Trick them into believing that they don't have what it takes to win.

Their mentality is such that their emotions will spill over and affect their ability to play effectively.

Unfortunately the Afrikaner mentality isn't too different to this, so come Saturday I think it will be a case of whoever blinks first.
