Hey there :)

I'm busy doing a research project regarding cloud computing and "as-a-service" type computing services within South Africa. For my project I'd ideally want to get some input from people and organisations within the industry to get their opinion and point of view.

At the moment I'm busy trying to compile a list of local organisations that provide cloud computing type services. In an attempt to get as many respondents as possible I was hoping that MyBB members could suggest some organisations for me to approach, in case I've missed any obvious ones and to cover the ones I might not know about.

Also, I'd really appreciate it if there's anyone within the industry that might be able to assist by perhaps pointing me in the direction of someone who might be able and authorised to have a brief discussion regarding issues faced by cloud computing in South Africa.

Any help would really be appreciated!

I'm looking for companies, preferably local, that provide any sort of "as-a-service" type services that could be classified as cloud computing. This could range from Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Web 2.0 type applications, to Platform-as-a-Service, or Infrastructure-as-a-Service type services where entire platforms or systems are provided in an on-demand, pay-as-you-use fashion. Examples include the cloud type services provided by Afrihost, IS, Dimension Data etc.
