Cloudflare down: Company blames 'unusual' spike in traffic before outage errors

Global Cloudflare outage hits Internet users in South Africa

Network services company Cloudflare, which helps websites defend themselves against distributed denial of service attacks, experienced a large global outage on Tuesday.

From around 13:30 on 18 November 2025, websites around the world that rely on Cloudflare’s services faced downtime due to problems on its network.
 
you know its bad , when even their status page crapped itself

Much less impact and quicker resolution than crowdstrike, and they're doing fine.

For certain, yes, but CF's trust will be negatively impacted. A lot will be under review. Distribution networks, aren't all that decentralised with redundancy. When core systems are impacted, access is null.

Huh, weird.

Their blocking service is apparently based on regular research they do on popular VPN servers' IP addresses.
I've seen the blocking page with their name on it. But very few sites use it that I've come across.
 
And again. When will the world realised centralising the internet wasn't a good idea?
