Cloudflare explains outage that took down many websites

More ac
they run local cache nodes (proxies) at your nearest point of presence
More accurate to say.. .They run a private "internet" on the internet

Entry/exit points
CDNs
DDoS protection
etc
etc

It's, frankly, an insane solution to an insane problem

Still going on this morning but elsewhere, getting #502 with Standard Bank.

Edit: New SB online app giving problems, old one works fine

BTW, this last time I was getting endless-loop Cloudflare human checks, every time.

But was able to reach the MyBB speedtest, always can.

Possible your IP is greylisted and this is Cloudflare treating you are a bad actor.

I don't think so; for some reason, his verification cookie is not set, and that is why he is sent back to the check again and again. He is using Windscribe, which also blocks cookies, which is probably the culprit.

Maybe, while they're on edge anyway. Normally don't see anything like 502.

No re the endless loop factor, I don't use Windscribe's ROBERT as I have uBlock Origin directly. But even that issue isn't on most of my experiences of human checks.

All these things will be some sort of combo of gadgetry / unorthodox settings people like us tend to collect...
