Hi everyone, I have the 2004 Opel Corsa 'C', 1.6 hatch and am looking to change the clutch. The problem is; I do not know if the car uses a concentric slave or a release bearing. I need to purchase the parts for them to be chanched but the mechanic is not sure. I need advise please. Thanks

Take the clutch out, see what it requires and then order ..... What is the problem ?? This is NOT (or it should not be) a quickie repair.
But how can you call the guy a mechanic if he does not know how the Opel Corsa's work? Maybe you should not be using him to do the repairs for you?

Indeed, they sold me the wrong brake pads some time ago, and they are just sales people, well most of them at least and they are not experts, so it's better to know exactly what you are looking for.

I am hoping to do it before next week. Unfortunately am working all thought this week and needs the car. I just don't want a situation were I get one thing and then on Saturday, it is open and I have to run back to the motor spares to have it changed, or worse, what I am looking for is not available.

The other day my opel's clutch also was gone. The mechanic think and said it should be a "A" clutch, he opened, check and replace. My mechanic ask me what I will pay at midas, he gets discount by them, While out let him replace all that need to be replace.
Up till a certain date they changed the type clutch.
With the vin number you can ask opel.

Go to Midas, ask them what you need - take your VIN number, model, year, etc.
As suggested above, your Delta dealer can tell you too using your VIN number... just phone them, ask what you need and how much it is.

In short follow the above and when the mechanics don't even know the parts needed I would highly doubt there credibility, are they RNI accredited mechanics?
If not they are back yard mechanics

I think he said his mech specializes in BMW, it's does not say anything about his capabilities or credibility if he does not know what clutch components are employed in some Opel, obviously he can find out but he's probably too busy with them Bavarian machines and they agreed that OP will find out and supply the parts.
