Hi

I am battling with the file renaming in Coach Potato. All files except the movie file has .file extension. The movie file is one long file name. Hence XBMC doesn't pick it up.

My setup for file renaming is <namethe> <year> <extension>

Any ideas.

No idea :(
Cant you rename it manually using windows?

I can, but that defeats the point of the functionality of coach potato

i used window 7 and sometimes it won't pick up on my samsung tv so i just rename the movie.

movie.mp4 -> movie.mp4.avi

works with hd movies with e *.flv extention

i am lazy so i don't even both removing the mp4 and it helps so i know what it was previously

so you could just rename * to *.avi or something along those lines as long as it's only movies or such in the folders

not sure it this will help with couch potato

That's a horrible idea for anyone who has a collection.

You are missing a period, it should be <namethe> <year>.<extension>
