CoD 4 Multiplayer Question.

I'm playing it on the American servers but there is a bit of delay.

I did not install a patch or anything but it works fine other than the lag.

Now my question is... To play on the South African servers do you have to install the patch?

I added the servers to my favourites but i still dont see them to join them (But i have not downloaded the patch) but i added some American servers to Favourites and they show in it.

And another question... Are the South African servers on all the time or certain times during the week//weekend only.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

The patch link does not work for me. It takes forever to do something then gives a Timed out error.

Yes you need the patches, and yes the servers are on 7 Days a week 24 hours a day.

As Grimspoon says you have to be patched up to the same version as the servers else you will not be able to join the SAIX servers.

A plus is that your ping will be much lower than the over sea's one. (Means less lag)

Did u set your filters in your game so that U can see all the servers?

Ya i did.

Also to the other posts, i managed to google this patch.

you need the LATEST 1.7 PATCH!!!!

Firstly go here to download the v1.6 patch (282.60 MB). Install it.

Then go here to download the v1.6-v1.7 patch (38.12 MB). Install it.

You should now be able to connect to the local servers.
