COD 4 - Pls HELP!!!

Hi guys

I've just purchased COD 4 from take2.co.za.

Installed it, patched it & played it, SP that is.

When i tried in MP, joining a SGS server it first says -

Awaiting connection...1 & counts till 11

Awaiting key code authorization

Afterwards it says -

Error / Server connection timed out

Has anybody had this similar problem.

Any help will be much appreciative.

okay i got that working.

Now i get -

Punkbuster kicked player "Ameer"
(for 2 minutes) ... Cvar rate=25000

Wot is that?

Seems your rate is too high..

Try set it to a lower value by going to console (if its not enabled, enable it in game options) by pressing the ~ button, and typing /rate 10000 or whatever value you want..

Not sure what value is accepted but yours is obv too high..

To fix this go to the console and type: /rate 15000
The /rate command limits the maximum bandwidth used by the game in bytes/second, ie. 15000 would be approx. 15kB/s. I assume saix set this limit to reduce the bandwidth used by their servers.
