what can i expect from cod black ops mp ? Ive watched a few trailers now for single player and to be honest its not really toooo mind blowing ? multiplayer would be fun i guess since anything cod goes but really games are getting to expensive and this looks like a half rip from mw2 :confused: not even going to talk about medal of honour.

ive almost unlocked all the weapons in bc2 aswell and im only level 23 or something, so i need something new to play in a few months time when bc2 has been done completely.

i tried to wikipedia cod black ops but it seems the site is down :sick:

Black Ops MP wont be playable for us SA folk. Their wont be any local servers as of now. And BC2 should take you a long time to complete, try getting all the medals and pins etc.

ive got most of the pins (7422 of the same ones) , i need 3 more or so but the badges ive got like 2/6 , then theres all the kniving and collection of dogtags that should keep me busy. ive only got 72 or so since i always spam smoke and then try knife frenzy or sneak attacks.

sigh what about modern warfare 2 ? or are there so many hackers on there its scary ? ive tried to stay away from its mp since it came out ....
 
MW 2 MP i have been banned for using the MOD tool (not even cheating sigh) but however i host a local MOD server from time to time and its really fun, alot of stuff the developers have left out, we have talented guys that make it even more fun. I know with the latest Liberation MOD tool from AgentGOD it is not VAC detectable so joining one of these servers is more safe now.

I haven't been hosting this week but i will notify you ASAP when i will be able to :D

default pass to my Server is always 3670 for future ref.

Or... SHOCK! Play the game until you are bored. It's what gamers usually do.

2000 hours in BF2 and I couldn't give a toss about medals and crap.
 
Black ops is a spin off on MW2 but it looks better than MW2.

If there is no local servers you will waste your money thus stick with what you got untill something better comes out.

Maybe try MW2 as its a bit quicker than BC2.
 
Why Treyarch decided to build Black ops with dedicated servers but only give gameservers exclusive rights on hosting them is beyond me.
I hate companies monopolizing the gaming industry.

Luckily there are plenty of viable alternatives around so clearly Treyarch won't hold me ransom.

I won't say its Treyarch alone that gave them exclusive rights. If you want to blame someone for the dedicated server exclusivity, rather blame Activision. ;)
 
I hope some hackers hack the gameservers and copy the source code for the dedi server and make it available for all. :D
 
I remember buying MW2 thinking it was really cool.. played it for a week or 2 and then heard about BC2.... never went back after loading that up.

Now trying out MOH, feels strange.... will take a while to get used to it...

Black ops looks sick... lots of game modes, but no local server which is the selling point of the game... no server, no game. I rarely play single player campaigns.

BC2 Vietnam will be fun, definately getting that.

Activision is just the publisher and not the developer, but you might be right, they probably had a say in the final release version.

If we already have bc2 ....will it be as added as an add on pack via the patcher or LET ME THINK, another purchase from cna :confused: ???? hopefully the price wont be to sickening from any retailer as its just an expansion

lucky us xbox guys will have local servers :)
 
I don't know how accurate NAG is but in their latest magazine they say ''Megarom has tentatively confirmed that we will have local servers."
I got this from page 53, top right under Quick Fix. I hope they are right though :D
