And like eclipsedx said - R500 odd for a PC game is sheer madness!
Yeah somehow they believe they are somewhat better than all other developers and can thus command a premium. The truth is though, that a lot of people have either already pre-ordered this game, or are going to buy it at release, which means that as much as the R500 mark kills us PC gamers, their prices will remain such until they see it aint working anymore.

Try justify the mad price all you like ... some of us have the sense to realise it's an awful price to pay and we're being ripped off. Like PhreeMe says, it's setting a standard, all the noobs pre-ordering/rushing out to buy it at release.

How will you lan it?? It will only have dedicated servers and only for m-web users. But you might get a lan crack like mw2.

439 for an online MP game is good, i could agree if it was mostly a single player game that was 12 hours long.
How long do people expect games to sit at 300 rand? The next decade?

You guys do realise that because Mweb are hosting the servers and they no longer peer with SAIX anymore, if you're not an Mweb user you're gonna lag.
AFAIK, this also means if you're not an Mweb user and you're on local cap, you won't be able to play as your traffic will be routed internationally and not locally. So yeah bit of a fail if you ask me.

Well if EA keep up their kuk releases that require patch after patch bf 3 will be far from proper bud.
As far as i know IS ping is fine as well to mweb.
Battlefield 3 won't be a console port. Thats why I say it will be a proper FPS.
The sadest thing about this is. That most of the people buying this game likes to be non conformist. They only support non commercial music but yet support the most commecial publication OF ALL TIME. Activision is the "fast food" of gaming and you that buy their products are the fat North American white trailer trash that doesnt understand the consept of a home cooked meal.

Much truth ..... if you are with an ISP that don't peer with Mweb, you're fooked. So all the guys playing and all the guys especially renting servers, make sure your ISP is peered with Mweb or you're gonna be playing with 300+ ping on local games.

What would be the home cooked meal? Well i don't mind buying anything as long as it is entertaining and COD is highly entertaining.
