cod4 help plox ? webafrica local only account .

ok so i recently went to my dads place as he asked me to check out whats wrong with his cod4 since he cant play online via local only , it says authenticating key ... and then times out . This is on all the saix / igame servers :confused: so i test with my axxess lite account and works fine, even tried updating the PB with the lite account and then switch back to local only but that doesnt help.

tried the WA account on my pc from a different location and does the same thing ? theres still 1.2 gb left...
ive tried /cl maxconnectionattempts 180 aswell and that does not work. :confused:

same aswell hey . I mean seriously we have had these 2 copies of cod 4 since it came out and now this . Well there is always the R99 uncapped from axxess ! my dad purchases the 1 gig from the engine garage and i lolled at him R70 something for 1 gig thats insane ... just surf should fix alles :)

@BigBean which isp do you go through ?
 
Some ISPs allow some data to trickle through to intl on local only so that auth works. Others do not.

IS does. WA doesn't. No idea about the others.

I use Pada's traffic splitter program and split freezone IP's to a WA prepaid (international) account and then I have a normal telkom internet 5gig account for the rest of the traffic
 
Hi Draconia2!

I've confirmed with the guys downstairs, that if you're using a Web Africa Local-only account, you'll not be able to play, due to the CD-key verification procedure, and Punkbuster streaming and authentication would be an issue as well. As Bosvark points out, a IS Web Africa Local-only account will work, under certain conditions. You may want to consider a traffic splitter application, as Big Bean points out.
 
update punkbuster with International bandwidth. Connect with local only account and it will work fine.
 
having a dad thats cool enough to play COD4 online = win

My Dad can't even sms
