So i decided to get Call Of Duty 4 Original for me and my Nephew and we want to play online.

Does anyone know if there any South Africa servers (Wana play on them for less lag) And how do you get it to actually work on SA Servers.

Help would be much appreciated.

Okay dude.. what you need to do is go to that site, look up COD4 and check out the server IP addresses or follow this link http://games.saix.net/servers_cod4.php. Then when your in COD4 looking for Internet Games, click on the TAB on top of the screen, till it says Favorites. Now, click on New Favorite, and type in one of the server IP addresses you got from http://games.saix.net eg. 196.4.79.71:28960. It should be in your list of favorites now. Remember to fill in the port aswell. Hope that works for you man. I also recommend downloading xfire as well www.xfire.com. Really neat IM that lets you save your favorite servers outside the game for quick access, add friends, take screenshots etc.

Thanx for the help.
And are all those servers South African servers?

You'll need the latest patch (1.7). Link

It will also save you some grief if you manually install the latest version of Punkbuster, because it often won't update automatically, and then you'll get kicked from the server.

Link

Just run PBSetup in its own folder.

1 copy per player, if you nephew wants to play at the same time, you need to buy another copy

Yes true if u have a 384k connection then u can both play on the local servers but both of u have to have the original game. Me and my bro play now and again together and your pings are just over the 100.

p.s Remember to change your rate to 15000 or something like that or else u would also be kicked. Enable the console and type it in there.

oh don't forget to change your CVAR rate... do so by typing in the console:

/rate 15000

otherwise punkbuster will keep booting you

Thanx for the help everyone.

Ive been on a few times but i never see those SA servers on in my Favourites.
I can play on American servers but the lag is way to bad sometimes.
Am i doing something wrong?

Surv0 - pretty obvious but thanx

Refer post #4 above.

i did do all of that. I added to Favourites then i click to show favourite games only.

Ive already added a few American servers on to it and they show but non of the SA servers.

You have to manually add the IP addresses for the local servers...

Server connection timed out

Start multiplayer and after the "awaiting key code authorization" I get "server connection timed out"
I'v got the original cd key, upto 1.7 patched,384 kbps telkom, login on local servers only and still unable to play! What am I missing?
