Guys,

I think I might be a bit stoopid... How do you connect to a COD4 server from SAIX? Is it as easy as creating a new favourite with the IP and then connecting?
I have tried this numerous times and all I get is Awaiting key code authorisation and it counts down to 180 seconds...

Am I doing something wrong? :(

yes, it is that easy.

just make sure u have the latest patch.
I have not had that problem before (i only get "server for low ping players only")

but thats the only thing i can think that could be wrong.

goodluck
AF

i play on igame hardcore delta (stitch)

Like he said. Make sure your patched up to date, also make sure that you have PB setup right.
Also check your Firewall!!!

I used to get the low ping error when I tried to play with my 3G, but not anymore.

I will google it, maybe there is a fix or someting. I am on version 1.7... I think that is the latest?

I have updated punkbuster, I switched off my Firewall, I reset the connection timeout to 60... I still cannot log into any COD4 servers. Does anyone else have any suggestions? This is really frustrating me as I loved playing this game online.

I used to be able to connect, but I had to rebuild my PC and since then I am unable to connect.

If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know I would really appreciate it.

Are you using a local only account?
If so who are you with, as I think COD4 needs to talk to the int statistics type server to get all its information.

I connect with and Axxess local only account and that works.

JS, I am with Telkom and it is not a local only account. I have 2GB international.

I am going to reinstall the game tonight (I had a cracked version installed until I could source an original) and I think the registry is messing me around. So I will start there. If that does not work, then format is my last hope...

Hi there

I know this question must have been posted numerous times on this website but please can you help (im new to online gaming and to this website). I recently purchased COD 4 and finished my international cap playing on local SAIX servers. I have a telkom 3gig int cap and 30 gig local. I read that are some sort of way using RouteSentry to solve this problem, can COD be programmed to use the local cap immediately without the need for a second account?

Thanks

COD 4 does not need int cap, you can play it on local. I do all the time.

I have downloaded an ADSL monitor and I am the only user of ADSL in my household. It still seems to be using my international cap. Any ideas? Could it be related to my ISP

You need to use RouteSentry to direct local traffic to a local only account, in other words, you require

two accounts - 1 with international bandwidth, the other being local only.
RouteSentry - required to direct local traffic through your local only account, and other traffic to your account with international bandwidth.

Remember, if you have international bandwidth on your account, then the international bandwidth gets used first, even when connecting to local sites. Once international is used, the local only kicks in...

As for the OP''s problem: hehehehe!!!!!! :D the frustration of connecting to a COD4 server. Do a search on google and check how widespread the problem is/was!!!!!

The most likely reason for the problem is because of that cracked version that was installed. Had the same issue (so I played through Hamachi until I could get a legit copy). Uninstall the game, make sure every trace of it is off your machine, and then re-install it, patch again (using legit patches as well) and then try connecting again. This should solve the issue, but doesn't guarantee it. Post again if you have a problem after the re-install - I'll look for a solution that I recall was supposed to work...

If you are not capped yet then yes you will need route sentry to filter the local vs int traffic, if you are capped however you can easily play using just your local.

Thanks people.
Where would be the mose suitable place to purchase local only account?

Check axxes.co.za for prepaid local bandwith with rollover. I think it's R12 a gig.
