If you're on SAIX try the cache server (cache.saix.net)

If you're on IS.....cancel account and join SAIX :)
 
Not only you surv0, i also could not log in after awhile with firefox.

I was in my main page then click something and told me i must log and so i did but it refused to log me in.

I was using saix, i also cannot get into cod, won't connect me.
 
Im assuming their site is overloaded by lusers trying to download / register... My mail still hasn't come through :(

ive been playing for a good bit now :)
I updated my punkbuster, made sure firewall was allowing cod, using route sentry to filter traffic, seems to push more than 50% of the local traffic to the international connection as well, which is a pity, maybe only because its the beta...
But at first it denied me, no auth, then i quit, reloaded, tried again and it worked
seems to be intermittent, but once ur connected u dont get disconnected.
Im liking it quite a bit, some flipping lethal dogs and artillery - once u play this u wont play cod4 again...
 
i got my email but it said my account was already verified and i cant get my key since its asking me to confirm my account details... then they just send me another mail witch i never get...
 
I must say I am in 2 minds about COD5 - Unfortunately I couldn’t connect because I am capped...I REALLY hope you don't need int cap to runt his game in the final version, but I fear you will...That irritating "Connecting to server" Cr%P gets annoying, well considering I am capped It keeps coming up and obviously I can’t connect to any servers.....I did however create a server just to check out the GFX etc and I must say I am rather disappointed...To me this is COD4 with new maps, new guns and new in game voices...the end, very disappointing....BUT I will reserve further comment until the full game is released which I will end up buying I am sure.
 
Grim i am not capped on a saix 5 gig account and i get that connect crap all the time, i gave up last night infact.
 
Right, so I pulled the game @ 120kB/s on muh wireless :D

Installed , got my key within seconds of registering at night, everything's fine.

Only problem is I can't find the SGS servers - and I'm prolly being blonde, but I see nowhere that I can enter IP/Port to a specific server :(

I created my own game just to check it out and I must unfortunately say I expected _ALOT_ more in the gfx department. I don't mind so-so graphics, but there's nothing that separates it from other old ww2 fps's.

I just hope the SP game is better.

If you go to Join Server, and set the game source to 'Favorites’ this enables the option 'New Favorite' and you can then input the server details.

I agree, I was not overly impressed with it, as I said it is COD4 with new guns, maps and its WWII vibe, wipdeeedoo....And all this for another R350...I think I might have to pass on this one and stick with COD4, I am still loving it.

Yeah i thought this at first as well.. like CoD4 with a facelist.
But after playing it for quite some time last night, i really began to enjoy it.
Its not a world away from CoD4, and they have clearly just built on it. The fighting dynamic has changed somewhat, the way you move has also changed. The way the guns fire and recoil are different, which results into a different type of play, well i find anyway. Artillery and attack dogs are awesome, unfortunately i havent unlocked any weapons addons yet so cant comment there.
Maps are quite good and i have to say im impressed with the GFX, it is better than the last CoD4 and incorporates more physics, hence the requirement for more processing power.
They have added squads, still not quite sure on the point of that tho..
All in all, if you were expecting a huge change from CoD4 you will be dissapoited, if you enjoyed CoD4 and take note on the little things ingame, then CoD5 will keep you playing for hours. :)

I think once i start playing the full version, i wont go back to CoD4... whats the point?
