I can't wait to get my copy of F1 2010!
I pre-ordered mine from Kalahari.net 2 weeks ago. I should receive it by next week Wednesday...

Awesome, I want this game so badly.
What did you pay for it?

Bought my copy from Steam, cost about R250.
Already installed, now just waiting for Steam to unlock it tomorrow afternoon............ then it's racing time. :D

I'm saving up for the steering wheel..
That's an absolute must have for this game!

I have got a steering wheel, but I find that playing with racing games with a gamepad feels easier and more comfortable.
Nonetheless, I will try both and see which ones is better for F1 2010 for me.

Do you have the steering wheel and bucket seat? How much does that combo cost these days?

5 Days then i receive my copy..

I think i will first see how the game is before deciding on the bucket seat :D

Looks slightly arcadish which is fine but maybe a controller is fine for that.

I tried NFS Shift earlier this year with both the wheel and the controller, for me the controller worked better.

Nah, only have the steering wheel with the flappy paddle gears and the pedals...... no bucket seat unfortunately.

Nice, I take it you have a G27 ? :)

I checked out a video review of that earlier in the week, must say, really impressive, wish I had the money buy it as well.

I play all my racing games with my xbox 360 controller for windows and really enjoy it.

Okay ... I just had my first play and first impressions are not good. UI sucks and graphics are really not the best (running maxed on a 5870). The game feels clunky. Just to give a bit of background, I absolutely adore Dirt 2, but so far this doesn't do much. I'll give it another few tries over the weekend, this is just a first impression after all. I should really learn to read reviews before I rush into buying games.

EDIT

For some reason it feels much better this morning. Noticed it did a DX update as well. Don't know if I'm going crazy, but the game looks better graphics wise this morning. Might actually be worth it!

read through the forum. Lots of complaints about simple bugs that should have been picked up in testing. The one i've experienced and most people are complaining about its he pitstop. The Lollipop man doesn't release you quick enough. I'm talking about 14 secs spent sitting there waiting for the other cars to drive by. When it should only really be 3-5 seconds, thus all your hard work is undone.

Not discouraging anyone from buying it, cause I'm still thoroughly enjoying it.

What works for me, just go to the pits one lap later, don't pit when your race engineer says you must. If you go the next lap, then its all good ;)

I noticed that my frame rates seem bad. Decreasing settings doesn't help. I have an gtx260, i5 750, 4gb ram and it feels very choppy. Frustrating since the actual graphics are brilliant...

At least I'm sorted with my Logitech G27. This game is awesome. But I still can't wait for Gran turismo 5
