Hi. I've always had a soft spot for 3D visual effects and complicated maths.
So, seeing as I'm re-organizing my career, I wondered how do I get started in that?

With 3D Max, it's fairly easy and I know where to start. But I have no idea where to start down this path in Blender. Yes, I can create the visual effects with the STD Built in tools... but I'm a programmer. Writing code to do visual effects for me is so much more fun.

Any pointers?
I couldn't find anything on Blender.org

A good knowledge of physics, deep understanding of opengl concepts, understanding of the python programming language (blender), or C++ for 3dsmax, also i believe 3ds max have there own max scripting language. To be honest blender is very easy once you understand the ui, which takes a bit of time and extreme amounts of patience
