The new patch for CoDWaW is flipping huge again. It's startnig to annoy me that the game that was released in November has already released their 2nd patch and it's so huge...the first patch was approximately 350mb and this latest one is 450mb. It's made a serious dent in our cap and has taken a couple of hours to download.

Luckily we have a thing as Local-Only ADSL accounts...
500mb download on local only costs: R 6.00
500mb downlaod on international costs: R 35.00
When the game was released, some places asked R 399 for the game, so you had to download the 0-day patch, incl this one, total of costs so far on normal adsl account: R 499.00
It is one of the poorly written games ever I've seen. Hopefully they lose the contract to write the second after the next one comming.

Tryarch was making CODWaW
Infinity will be making COD6
Tryarch will be out of business...
How much patching is 500mb of data? They couldn't have written code thats 500mb big, impossible... New map, and maybe new textures, but ja, poorly written
Be warned, never buy games from Tryarch again - big hype and advertising before the game gets released, so we're all excited and so forth, but in the end its not worth it.

there is still just over 17'000 servers of COD4
need i say more?

I think they'll slate a 2009 released. Mid-year or end-year. Remember that they've been working on it since COD4's release, so it's been almost 2 years now.

All I can say is the next release of COD I am going to download the torrent - yes you heard I WILL STEAL IT!

It's not. I downloaded and it's 498MB.
hey guys.if u download your patches from http://gaming.do.co.za/download u can use local bandwidth.patch would hav cost u R5

Yeah, 498mb is what we downloaded too.
You have to use route sentry, Telkom doesnt split the traffic.

Treyarch made COD:UO too... What a flippin good game that was..?
Anyways, COD2 is still the best in terms of online play. (I've played > 1000 hours in both COD2, COD4 and >200 hours in COD:WAW)
I'd MUCH rather have a game sooner and then have the developers work on patches while I can already play the game than wait 6months longer for the release..
COD4 had 6 patches, first one also released within a couple of weeks of release.
Rather be grateful that we have an awesome FPS game to play online, that our servers are FREE (Any1 played WOW..??) and that the game is about 1/2 the price it is on XBOX/PS3.

In the US/UK/Europe this download takes 5mins.

I've stopped online COD gaming, because of the fact that the COD community underwent a metamorphosis from COD2 -> COD4. (COD4 resembling the general trend of this thread.)

since we're on the topic of CoDWaW, my game just got installed and i put a crack and now it doesn't let me start a new game, it just takes me to the previous menu. it's a reloaded version.
