She is incompetent and racist and represents what is wrong with the South African judicial system.

I in no way think what they did was right. It was a stupid, callous and criminal act.

The punishment however is extremely disproportionate to the crime. That is the issue.
 
Sickening. Judge should be dismissed. Now they need to appeal and valuable court time will be wasted.
 
When racism is a bigger crime than murder and rape...

Luckily we have way higher courts with more qualified judges to judge on judgements by morons like this judge. It's just sad that it will cost a fortune to rectify the mistakes done by lower court judges... That in itself should be a crime.

Shame, cry us a river. You wanted the death penalty and I agree. But people don't get death penalties for putting someone in a coffin and threatening to kill them. Murders do and we all know which shoe fits where.
 
Where's Masipa when you need her, Oscar undisputedly killed someone yet she gave him 6 years..
 
So, she dismissed the leave to appeal. Clearly a poor attempt to prevent another court from rectifying her incompetence.
 
If anybody was wondering if the Judiciary and the ANC were 2 separate entities, this case should answer that for you.

Yep, that is all. She is not a real judge. She is an affirmative action appointment. No legal reasoning, no knowledge, no experience. She probably was a cleaner a couple years ago. This is very evident from the way she handled the trial and analyzed evidence presented. She was probably told by someone what to do and say.

I never followed this trial.
The verdict is a complete joke, they got a harsher sentence than most killers.
Seriously, was the victims life ever in danger ?

Sure they acted like *******s and are probably to stupid to know any better but this was a joke

Agreed. What they did was wrong. You cannot threaten or scare another person, no matter what the reason or what happened. You need to be punished for it. But, more than 10 years in jail? Laughable.

But, then again, we all know what the reason was behind this. Persecution of white people under ANC rule.
