Cold CPU Cooler

I was getting to grips with GRAW when I noticed a severe drop in FPS . Having had overheating troubles before I decided to do some spring cleaning. On inspecting my P.C I found to my shock this http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/7044/comgq5.jpg. As you can see it must have been a cold winter because my CPU cooler decided to grow a fur coat. So I got stuck in with compressed air and now, with me suffering respiratory problems , have got it back to how it should be http://img243.imageshack.us/my.php?image=comaftgq0.jpg. I'm now going to run GRAW again and see if the problem has been fixed.

Don't ask me where the dust comes from. The house seems to cursed. No amount of cleaning works although our maid is quite useless( I once caught her with prep in her hair ).

Glad you got it cleaned... I'm sure that was your problem with GRAW

This happens to most higher end coolers with high fan speeds. Dust is everywhere and can't be defeated, just have to clean the stuff off everynow and then. One thing I have noticed though and the reason is quite obvious is that the new cooler that I have doesn't pick up dust very fast, the reason being that I have set it to spin really slowly and only spin up when the cpu reaches a certain temp. I haven't overclocked it yet and it hasn't picked up any dust at all. The cpu runs really cool and I even undervolted it to run even cooler. The cooler hardly ever runs :/

open your case and get one of those square fan blowers from clicks

whenu play games turn it on full ball

cools everything down

ram cpu hdd's

I got the CPU fan, mines gets a little dusty but damn, not that much. Gotta remember to clean after a while then

Still got problems with GRAW. My 3D Mark score is back to normal but GRAW still has major drops in FPS. Could be something to do with the No CD patch I installed because my CD\DVD had problems with securom. I didn't have any troubles with the first mission(pre No CD patch) or the demo.

Computers! fix one problem another pops up.
