Collaboration software

I've got a transport company - have about 15-20 employees.

The Manager wants to get some kind of software that he can use that he can type 1 memo - and it is available to all.

He wants a shared calendar , and access to each person's daily diary.

They also want to have a function that went they receive orders / or when trucks are dispatched - that they can send email to people and a central location - that there isn't a story of "they didn't receive the communication"

any suggestions - i've looked at this - but might be lacking functionality.

will cost but atleast you get exactly what you want

Software 602 is all right but not great. You are better off going with somethig like Kerio Mail server which is like exchange.

Sourceforge.net should be your first stop to look, but if you have the bandwidth, why not use Google's goodies?

Can't believe I'm saying this...but Microsoft's Groove also works pretty well.

egroupware and zimbra are two of the bigger ones if I recall correctly.

I tested some of the open source ones a few years back, none were very impressive back then.
