Hi Guys

I am looking at getting a server hosted in a Data Centre that has a 100mb/ps pipe to the internet.

However, at least 50% of the traffic will originate from South Africa...

Does anybody know of a provider that charges separately for local traffic vs international traffic?

Thanks

100Mbps of traffic will cost you in the region of R500 000 per month with a 50/50 local/international split. Most co-lo providers will provide you with at least a 100Mbps port but are you sure that you are really going to be using that much raw Internet traffic? Thats over 30TB of traffic per month!

PS - if you want a more formal quote you are welcome to contact me though. :)

I'm not looking at uncapped 100mbps:P...more like 1TB but hosted on a 100mbps port..

I want to be charged Rx for local traffic and Rx for international traffic...or buy in increments of 100gb for international or local traffic respectively

Can you assist with differencial pricing? If so pm me a formal quote..:D

It is possible to have split billing on a server. I have sent you some numbers :)
