Column : Dear Black Person

Why do I not need to read the original "dear white person" to know it was almost certainly written by a far right person trying to stir the racial tension pot ?

Oh just remembered. The idea that black people haven't advanced post apartheid is a figment of the far rights imagination.

I do not think I have seen anyone here with such a racial chip on his shoulders
Always the far right wing hey? get over yourself

The far right makes up groups of all races. There's a black and white far right and everything inbetween. You reading more into it than that exposes your racial chip.

Both points of view were quite extreme and negative in my opinion but had validity. A middle ground needs to be found between them. Certainly black people in general are still suffering from Apartheid, but at the same time their own government are failing them too.

Careful. They lynch logical middle of the line people here.

Agreed. I didn't think either 'article' was well written anyway, more so if one is an experienced editor.

Exactly, it is incendiary but not representative, why make out as if it is. Was Terreblanche representative of all whites...yet he was closer than this person is to all blacks.

Hey Marine, I have two chips one on each shoulder...just in case you wanted to point it out.:D

No, she's Indian.

No, she is coloured (check her wikipedia page), which as far as I am concerned is a black "tribe".

Anyway, the first article and most of the follow ups were far too emotive.

I liked this piece and I know it was just to counter the original poster, but it seems like the follow ups think this is her full position. In one of her previous pieces she got a lot of flack from white people and no she gets a lot of flack from black people. This is a very contentious issue and I would rather not want to debate some of these things on news24, those people on there are scary.

Edit:

One thing I do find strange though is that the original letter said there would be an angry uprising and then a day later the cops thing at the platinum mine pans out. Looks like he had a point there. And the protests on the N2 in Cape Town as well, but that looks very much like the actions the ANCYL threatened the DA with. Even it is not the ANCYL it would reflect very badly on them as they made the threats and then it materialized.
