I see all these ads for Telkom and the 2010 world cup and can't help but laugh.

I've been waiting for more than a year and a half with multiple exstensions on ETA's to get a simple ADSL line.

What a joke as expected.

Have you thought of an official written complaint to the Advertising Authority about false advertising. If they receive enough they would have to have a hearing and they may rule against them. This could apply to MTN and Vodacom as well

Here is an example of the power of the ASA. Would it not be nice if TELKOM was forced to do the same. Also Unilever is no small fry

Whilst still reeling from bread price fixing by some local food producers, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ordered multinational company Unilever to remove its Sunlight 2 in 1 washing powder from shelves until it proves its claim that the product is made of pure natural ingredients and that it softens fabrics.

This follows a complaint to ASA by Bliss Chemicals, another washing powder manufacturer, that Unilever's claims were misleading.

The ASA ruled that research by Unilever did not substantiate the companies claim that Sunlight be considered a two-in-one product, and that there was no clear evidence of softening properties.

"Elize Jonker" featured in the Telkom 2010 ad looks quite allright behind her console...until the end of the ad where she stands on the platform in the parade...then she looks quite "koekerig"

i am quite impressed by Telkom, ordered new telephone line as my flat didn't have one. Took one week to install, another 2 days to upgrade it to ADSL 384kbps. I then requested 2 days later to upgrade line to 4MB, and it was done in 30mins!!!! Speed is true 4MB downloads. Very much impressed!

I installed line at home took 4 days, asked if they have ports for adsl .
They said yes. Now the line is in and they say there is no ports.
Now i have a line and its of no use to me.

I'm amazed how much Telkom sucks. I phoned for a status update and was told that there still isn't an ETA. I am so frustrated, luckily I don't own a gun(Would have made the headlines holding them hostage for ADSL)

What a bunch of monkeys....(Shame, poor monkeys in the wild being compared to telkom)
