Eish, maybe I'm the only condescending bastard here... but when people say they don't "get" British humour, I pity them and look down on them! Sorry.

Yup there is no better humour than British humour. Their comedy shows are without equal. High among those is the Monty Python stuff.

Our one neighbor had all the 'Allo Allo, and Fawlty Towers episodes, and all Monty Python's stuff.
And our other one had a enormous collection of Giles Annuals.
I discovered Douglas Adams, Tom Sharpe and Terry Pratchett on my own.
Add some vintage Garfield, Snoopy and Far Side into it - and you have the origins of my outlook on life.
