Command & conquer red alert

Lucky bugger. :D

I can't believe I still load that game every now and then, just to play the campaigns again...
 
anyone know how to get a direct tcp/ip connection online game going?

I would luv to play online against u ppl but dont know how.
i know how to play bf2 online, is it the same as that?
 
Get it off BT but ask someone to seed it.GO to www.xdrive.com
its an online harddrive and holds 5 gigs!
Make a temp e-mail account with yahoo or gmail then ill upload the file. the you can downlad it:)
ill make an image. then you get alcohol or DAEMON tools.
It's a virtual drive and works up to 200x faster than using a burned copy of the data itself:)
 
Even wolfenstein et> just connect to the ip addy like(192.168.1.4= assuming there thress pc's inda crib) or something like 168.893.90:6783 for international games!:)
 
RA2 & Yuri were great, loved em. Playing Act of War now, of course, better graphics, in game video etc. Lots going on.
But there's a lot more choice now, i reckon.
For instance, for a long period, i played just 3 games for ages. RA2, Diablo2, and Medal of Honor.
Currently installed on my pc are: WOW, Call of Duty, Act of War, X2, Unreal2, Warcraft3, Warhammer Dawn of War, AvP Primal Hunt, Spellforce, Homeworld2, SC Brood Wars, Diablo2.
And quite a few more that i regularly install & uninstall, lol.
Life was so simple back then.
Its difficult to compare a game like Act of War with RA2 because i played RA2 every night and i don't play Act of War every night because i'm spoiled for choice.
 
The orignal comman & conquer in its time was way better than these new rts imho.
 
I dont know if you guys heard of Total Annihilation? It was released around the same time as RA? Now that game was waaaaay ahead of its time, line of sight, 3D units, terrain affected combat, scavenging wrecked units, etc. Till today there is a solid MOD following.

Sadly marketing plays a bit part in a game either making the popstar status or becoming a dud.

To clear out my side of the fence, I enjoyed RA but TA had better gameplay. :)

I didnt enjoy Total Annihilation, it was too far fetched!
