Comments on Canon 1000D?

Thinking I might get this... although I was planning to wait until I got my bonus beginning of December! Looks like the bug has bitten... ;)

Oops, looks like I fogot to post the link :o

But I've just ordered it - will pick it this evening or tomorrow lunchtime!

Cath,

Reckon you will be happy going from a compact P&S to a DSLR & accesories you have to lug around? a DSLR is definitely an upgrade though.

Yeah, I think so - I'll still have the compact for times when I don't want to take the big camera bag with me. And I think the DSLR will be great for the kinds of photos I want to take. So I'm happy :)

Between the MYBB galleries and Facebook I don't think I've touched flickr in months. :o

Have facebook changed their terms or have you just not read it? :)

I guess the MyBB galleries is fine for sharing amongs mybb users, but flickr has a slightly better reach.

I've read them - they're very similar to Flickrs. ;)

You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings. In addition:
For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos ("IP content"), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook ("IP License"). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.
I only upload certain things to Facebook anyway, commissioned work isn't allowed up there (well they requested I don't) but it can go on my personal website.

Facebook's terms has definitely changed, looking at these extracts. It's still slightly worse than Flickr though. And aside from the TOS, having had a peek behind the scenes, I'm not really comfortable putting anything on there.
