Hi Guys,

I am a commission earner and have been really really bad with my tax.

I understand that a percentage of certain household expenses can be claimed based on the size of your office, and will chat to a tax practitioner around this.

My question however, comes in with how I pay my Domestic worker.
She comes in twice a week at R200 a day.

Currently there is no formal paperwork exchange - so if i wanted to claim a percentage of this back, Im assuming i would need to do this.

So, how do you guys do it? Do you generate a invoice for them to you, and provide them with a copy?
Any recommendations/correct ways to proceed?

Cheers!
Ryan

If the money is given to her cash, then she should date and sign for it. If it is paid into her bank account, she needs to give you proof of bank details in her name.
