I need to buy a car for my dad.
Looking for a small compact auto sedan like yaris, Hyundai accent etc.

Which will be the most economical to maintain over 8 years?

For that price I don't think you are going to get a decent sedan and an auto unless you go secondhand.
Picanto auto for instance is already R130-R140K.

Not sure, got a maintenance plan for the parents. Covered for 5 years I think.

Hyundai parts are reasonable the same has any modern Honda/Nissan/Toyota kind of thing

Obviously more expensive than a Tazz or Citi though...
