Just a quick question.
Our company have a three year replacement cycle for PCs and five years for laptops. We're usually issued entry level type laptops such as i3s with 4GB RAM and no extras whatsoever. The problem is the procurement process takes at least four months, up from about a month previously. The reason for the prolonged internal process can largely be attributed towards a higher approval hierarchy, as a large organisation had a acquired a majority stake in (what used to be) our company. This prolonged process have had a substantial knock-on effect, on not only the equipment replacement cycle but employee morale also.
Thus I was wondering what the norm is at the moment in large organisations?
