When using the MTN Fastlink E220 USB modem to connect Internet Explorer/Outlook Express works fine then freezes after +- 5-10 min and the process is repeated after every restart. This is now the second modem, MTN swapped the first one as it was doing the same thing thinking it was a modem related problem. The the IT repair shop tried Windows Xp repair, Windows reformat, Windows XP reboot, new drivers, modem firmware updates without success. Modem works fine on other PC's . Serial number for modem is EO7NAB16A2101254. Is this a specific Pc/Modem compatibility problem which wont go away or can this be sorted?
