Hi Guys,

Any idea where I could get a comparison on these laptops or others of similar spec?

Thanks

thx guys. i didn't realise that they don't include dvd roms :-( for obvious reasons. Game beat the price down to R3900 for the NC10. What do ya think?

i am 2 minds about the netbook option. size of screen and the atom processor. ok size of screen is personal choice i guess but is the atom not really a problem? then i should just buy it.

The screen size is important, go look at a machine and use it for a bit at the store. make sure you happy with that.

The atom is not bad at all. On my eee 1000H, had firefox open with about 10 windows, had the antivirus running a full scan, had the control panel open, and found the machine to be very responsive.

For just browsing the web, listening to music and maybe editing some documents, you not going to have many issues.

Again, maybe go play with one instore, and push it a bit. See if you happy.

will try and get to Game before they close. hopefully the have a demo version to play around with.

Eish, I played around with the NC10 yesterday. Too small IMO but for the price I wouldn't mind one. Anyway Game are having a special from Thursday on another Samsung 15" IIRC for about R6000 including a deskjet printer by HP valued at R500.

Lol told you to check it out before you buy, glad you did ;)

thanks alot. i found the touchpad a tad difficult to use. the keyboard will also take a little getting used to at 93% normal size i think. no DVDRW. If the person i was getting it for travelled alot it would be great probably, but it's more for home use.

i opened up a few applications, lots of windows on IE, played some music all at once-handled it well.

R2999 ex vat at Recron at the moment. Getting mine on Tuesday....

Those with NC10s, how does photoshop run on these machines? Anyone tried them with windows7?
