Hi Guys,

We are working on bringing you leading VoIP phone comparisons across all Leading SIP (Yealink, Polycom, SNOM, etc) and Proprietary IP phone vendors (Mitel, Panasonic, Cisco, Samsung, etc).

As we stand the points are as follows:

  • Display Resolution
  • Max Lines Supported
  • Hard Keys, Soft Keys
  • Power over Ethernet (POE)
  • Full Duplex Speakerphone
  • Backlit LCD
  • RJ-9 Headset Port
  • HD Voice
  • Gigabit Ethernet Switch (GigE)
  • Colour LCD
  • Lync Compatible
  • Camera option
  • Warranty Period

We would appreciate and value your input - let us know if we are on the right track and if we should be adding anything else to this comparison? This information will be made available on our website at no cost once we are up and running.

Cheers

Auto-provisioning support and what standard (custom, TR69). Sidecar support for reception phones. Codec support.

It may or may not be worth applying your own sort of category for a phone i.e. entry level, executive to help people match up similar level of phones.

Skype compatibility?

My family still uses Skype for communications, although Hangouts is also finding traction.

Ubiquity released a range of Voip Devices that run with Android.

I really think they are fantastic devices. You can load/syncronize your complete Contact List from your smartphone if you use cloud services such as Google or Office 365.

Also create speed dials directly on the screen and things like that. And of course load apps that are available on the Android Market, (including skype).

The only downfall: No G729 codec.

I really think that Ubiquity did well with these devices, except that they missed the codec.

Never ever in my life do I want to work with a Snom product again.

Sure when they work they are great...when they don't the support is horribly lacking.
