On the 2000/2003 server platform all that would necessary would be to install the correct drivers.

They should be compatible.

Get an HP printer server if you're using an HP printer.

Yes its all good and well sharing it on a pc, but that pc would have to remain on 24/7.

Why not get them to upgrade to the 1022N - then just plug it into the network and share it. I don't know how much a print server cost's - but if it is more expensive than the replacement printer then rather get the printer
