Competition for telkom???

yea USD. actually i'm not too sure if these prices could be aimed towards ISP's. for example the 768kbps service at $730 per month says that the recommended number of PC's is 1-10. so an ISP could connect up to 10 users and charge say $75 per month per user? in which case it would be a viable alternative since it's unshaped and unlimited bandwidth. in which case the ISP would also be responsible for the installation fee of the dish and equipment. or maybe i'm looking at it wrong?

We work strictly with a reseller network, which can give you the local support in your market. Our sales team will first send you some base informations on our product portfolio and then determine together with you, what the best way to get you connected will be.

If you are a global account and need connectivity for your branches all over the world, we recommend to directly contact our pre-sales engineering team at [email protected]

If you are reseller and want to apply as partner, please proceed to our partner section.
yup looks like these prices are aimed at ISP's. lets hope some of them take advantage of this since the 768kbps seems like quite a reasonable option if each user were charged at say $75 PM for unlimited bandwidth

Well.. I have said it before....
Put the wifi access repeaters on the roof, set up a 802-11b Wifi Mesh and then distribute the costs.

Take Telkom out of the picture totally

@ Richard!

The Idea sounds so cool! I mean if you live in a block of flats its a piece of cake. The only problem is that finding people near enough if a problem

If there was a way for these mesh setups to act as repeaters and everybody would play by the rules, telkom will be history! I mean you won't even need a land line!!!

The initial setup costs will be very small and then everybody just transfers money into the "providers" account and he is the virtual isp, and we can all play bf2 and cs:s all the time at super low pings.

Even though this is D-DAY 1 November.

THERE IS STILL HOPE......
