Hey all

Lol me again, but i love the help that you guys give so i need your advice again.

As you know Gudon and me were fighting about Spamming and so on. But i come home today and i get a call from my ISP, Telkom saying that i have been given a warning for spamming and a complain about me being on the site, and they saying that if he bans my ip then its going to effect alot of people.

My question is, is three people pm'ing spamming? Its not like i spammed unknown people but i know them from chatting so is that really spamming?

Plus he has made me get a warning for this, i would liek to hear if i must take this further, as i do not believe pm'ing three people is spamming??

As he has said now he has contacts at telkom thats how he has done this to me, and he threatens me now that he will be contacting his "contacts" again if i do not leave him alone what do you advise me to do?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... or summin :p my opinion (and that of a number of other people) is that if the recipient feels that it is unsolicited (they do not want to receive it) then it is spam. Doesn't really matter what the sender thinks of the content of the message.

ISPA's criteria for getting you listed as a serial spammer on their Hall of Shame is three independent complaints. If you send three messages and three people complain then sorry for you... you could be branded a spammer. :rolleyes:
 
Yes but its not spam i know the people its not like i am spamming a random member, i chatted to the members i sent a message to?? So how can that be spam? They did not complain only Gudon did and i never sent him a message
 
I also wanted to ask, this guy from Telkom called me and said i must stop spamming so on, and then said if i don't they will shut down my line, but is this allowed, i mean how can they give me a warning and they don't even know my case? Or my side of things??

As i mean if i phone your company up say you spamming and you getting a warning for actually sending a pm to a person then how can you be getting a warning for that? I find that a bit weird?
 
Oh ya i forgot, so is there any advice or just you like posting lol

My advice is to think if there is anything else you would like to add to a post before hitting the "submit reply" button. That way you only have one post instead of multiple posts after each other. The "Preview post" button is also very useful.
