Who knows, maybe there's a couple of ya'll who's working for MTN or registerdomain, that's trying to restore the image and trying to avoid the topic "maybe it was a cover up or a lie"..

I don't work for either, but I also know their story is probably not BS.

I see you already got an offer to show you what BS is. I can give you a second if you still a non-believer.

These guys are probably not talking BS, but I have to ask how bad their DoS automated mitigation is...

A thread like this, especially with a title like that, can be really damaging to a company's reputation, especially a smallish one (I have to assume) such as registerdomain.co.za.
Personally, I think people are a bit too quick to publicly lambaste a company, especially as a result of less than 24 hours of proper service. Why not do your best to take it up with the company first?

Also, it's a completely reasonable excuse that the downtime was caused by a DDoS attack. Of course, it probably shouldn't take so long to resolve, but these things can and do happen.

My question, why and how would someone want to dos attack them???

It's a great company but this isn't the first time that stuff went offline for a long time and I jut got fed up with it, because I'm running a business!

and to answer my own question, "competition most likely" ..it happened to me before, and IP traced back to my competitor chilling on their mweb fibre line


..I have to say, there's a lot of you guys that's very eager to get my stuff transferred over to their companies, woow
