Hi All,

I am just interested to see if any of you guys who live in North Riding would be interested in fibre?

We are possibly looking at installing fibre into some of the complexes but first we want to see if there would be interest from the community.

you going a bit far you need to go to Weldevreden Park / Panorama area land of the complexes :)

I'm in Northriding, keen on a fibre install (I see there's quite a bit of this activity going on in the area).

10 meg is a bit slow, but I'd bite for uncapped, depending on what the FUP looks like.
 
Yes please...we already have the infrastructure to our units just need some fibre. I'm sure we can get a few people on board 146 units they can't all say no :-) and plus your offices is a stone throw away from our complex
 
Pricing would depend on what the fibre operator charges, so without knowing this we wouldn't be able to advise :(

Yes i agree, we are starting at that 10mbp/s base pricing for now so we can see how much interest there is

obviously if we see enough interest to embark on this project we will release more packages with faster speeds. and offer VoIP etc

The fibre you guys are all seeing around the area is Vumatel and MTN which is going into Olivedale

Currently there are no FTTH players in North Riding.

We feel this is the perfect place as there is a lot of complexes and the demand should be high.

Tricky thing there is that if Vumatel are nearby it means they can move quickly with deployment, it's a land grab at the moment and it's about being the most organised. Vumatel have the workforce and systems to deploy in a hurry.

Telkom is hopefully shaking in fear.
 
If I can get this installed tomorrow, I would be so happy.

I don't care who provides me with the connection, I would just really like one!
 
So I have spoken to the guys at converged group. They said feasabilities have been confirmed and they are now canvasing for uptake.

So guys in Northriding around Blandford and Hyperion and please send a mail to [email protected] and let them know if you are interested.

Uncapped pricing as follows:
2mbps @ R199
5mbps @ R399
10mbps @ R599
20mbps @ R799
50mbps @ R999
100mbps @1499

Once off installation costs:

Month to Month -R3000ex vat
12 month - R1200 ex vat
24 month - Free

Couple of questions...

How many people do you require to sign up before kicking things off?
How many people do you have so far?

Are you only selling the bundle deal (fibre + ISP) or do you allow the use of other ISPs?

No capped accounts?

well ... R3000 ex vat is rather expensive if you look at the other offers going around!!!

we are looking to have around 10 homes before we kick it off
we have around 3 thus far.
We are only selling the bundle deal.

the R3000.00 may seem expensive but that is for a month to month cost.
