Hi! I have a system that HAS the following items:
  • 1x G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600MHz High Performance Gaming RAM With Heat Spreader
  • 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB DDR5 DirectX11 Graphics Card

I would now like to ADD the following items:

  • Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz High Performance Gaming RAM With Heat Spreader
  • Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB DDR5 Overclocked Edition DirectX11 Graphics Card

My n00b question for the day would be, if I go SLI, would the be any problems or noticeable differences between the original card being a NON Overclocked version and my new card being a Overclocked version? I am under the impression that I need the exact same cards to go SLI...

Lastly will I have any problems if I use two different RAM modules, ie. one being G.Skill and the other being the Corsair Vengeance?

Thanks! :o

regarding the memory
There is some obscure ram specs you can check up on those products to see if they match. Personally I have never missmatched memory but if I would have I'll try to match these specs as close as possible.

The specs to look out for look like this for example "9-9-9-27" or "8-9-8-24" ect.
It has to do with the latency. For a simpler reference check, see the CL specification. For example CL8,CL9,CL10
The 1600Mhz come in a lot of CL flavours.
Another thing to check is to see if the Intel XMP compatibility profile match up. For example XMP 1.3

If i'm not wrong all memory come indirect from three foundries Eldipa(kingston), Micron or Samsung.
