I have installed a Panasonic panel in my main lounge which doesnt have a built in tuner but has a composite board.

I have run about 30m of RG6u coax and used f-connectors to rca adapters on either side.

The cable has contenuity but I cant get a picture. I ave tried using the composite out on my Yamaha bluray player as well as my SD PVR and cannot get a picture.

The cable runs through my ceiling and is not lying on any power cables.

The composite board in the panel is working as I connected the same bluray player via a fly lead and I get a picture.

Any ideas?

1 - check for shorts between the shield and centre conductor
2 - some panels want an audio signal as well as video to generate a picture
3 - have you got any alternative inputs? The Y connector on a component video input for instance
4 - measure at the panel end the signal from the source. You should see at least 0.3 VAC

1. Checked - a few times
2. Good point.
3. Have got a component board
4. Will do.

BUT. If I connect to the same board via a fly lead, it works.
If I connect to another TV AV in, no picture.

So, it must be the cable. I will run another through the house and check first before pulling through the ceiling
