Ok, so looking at some brokerages and ABSA direct...there's always an option...I always chose the Comprehensive, is this not the reason that the insurance was so high in the first place? What's better?

Comprehensive?

3rd party?

Fire, theft and 3rd party?

Please if you cannot answer the quesiton don't disrespect or post then...

Ok...so got lowest quote from ABSA...a k a month...that's R100 more than AIG...I'ma take it, shopped around, got better deal at ABSA...

<Mod request>

Pls merge this with his insurance thread of yesterday.

That insurance thread is locked and somme gone, was looking for th darn thing all morning...they removed it citing undisciplined behaviour from someone called Pitbull...I can't say i know him:rolleyes:

I hope not...oh, I apologised for my behaviour to the other 2, same to you, sorry for being rude, totally not my style...;)

Comprehensive is the best insurance...

I pay R54.00 per month for 3rd party and theft.

I PM'd you a broker someone recommended to me - They were 35% cheaper than anyone else - included AIB.

Comphrehensive is the best - 3rd party only looks after the other person - 3rd party should be a requirement for all vehicles on our roads :(

Yep...called them they'll call me back

talking with MiWay now

Try speak to the woman I emailed you - see's extremely effecient - my building insurance is currently R400 - They offered it to me R380 - I told them it wasn't worth the move for R20 so they made it R280.

My entire insurance (home, house contents, vehicle, specified all-risk) is down from R2400 - to R2100 with AIB - and now R1700 with these guys.

miway is offering me R928.20 incl car hire...they said it COULD be an Alfa when I hire!!!

Ok...fink I'm going with MiWay...all other brokers I called couldn't get quote coz I'm TOO YOUNG..aaaah, the perils of being young!

24? the guys you pm'd me is cool...bt they working with some of those 9 companies and they can't insure..

I had problems with insurance until around 27 as well - each year now it gets cheaper and cheaper :)

29 now - for the next six months :(

Ok so, now MiWay will not guarantee me the premium...lol, which means in a couple of months, i'll have to fork out more than 2k AGAIN!Flip man...

How does one go about getting my dad to insure my car on his name??Must the car be on his name or what?

Have you tried Indwe Risk?

I had a friend who insured a car on his dad's name through Outsurance. When the car got stolen, they refused to pay claiming that he was not listed as regular driver of the car and thus, under insured. Just be careful.

Yep, head that Outsurance story before!...Yes I"ve tried Indwe, they said I'm too young...

Cheapest is MiWay but MiWay won't guarantee that the premium will stay the same
