Just some information for anyone with signal problems with the IR Receiver that comes with the kit.

I found mine would not work further than 2 meters away and when I opened the casing found that the eye was bent down (so you would have to use the receiver vertically).

I bent it back up and it still fitted in the casing and is now working from further distances.

I threw mine away. Biggest piece of rubbish I ever bought.

Only problem is that it seems to be the only kit available at the moment, cannot find a Hauppauge mce kit anywhere at the moment.

Awesome. I just did this with my IR kit also using the Compro one and it was flat. When I moved it up it worked beautifully.
