Hey all,
So finally doing a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and one of my modules is Computational Thinking. A week into to the course they've introduced Shannon's entropy equation(Information Theory). I have no idea what this is lol. Can anyone help or point me to something that will help me understand? Or maybe what basics I need to learn first?

Another module I am struggling with is Computer Architecture Organization. Logic gates, flip flop, latch, boolean algebra :erm:

I have been programming for a while but never did I think that this stuff could be so hard haha.

You're most likely gonna struggle later in the course as it gets substantially more complex. But here is a basic introduction.

Comp Sci is freakin harder than my dick right now - I had to drop it a few years back and pursue Psych/Education :(
 
Hey all, could someone explain to me what information theory is and why we might want to calculate it? I'm stumped here.

Boolean algebra wasn't easy for me either...
Time and practice!
