Computer exchanges?...or best place to sell PCs?

I have a P3 which I'd like to get rid of.

I'd like to sell it, rather than just give it away as I could really use the money in order to buy a new one...

Can any of you recommend a decent way to sell a used PC?

I would not suggest junkmail as it is very dodgy i have been trying to sell me laptop on there for two weeks or so and every phone call i have gotten was someone trying to by my laptop with fake accounts, so all im saying is just be carefull.

For that I would by a decent motherboard and save for a celeron chip and memory. You wont be able to sell that for 200-300 easilly.

Yup, I almost had a 3G phone stolen through JunkMail. 4 responses, 4 dodgy buyers.

well quite honest if you give someone something before you make sure you have the money in your hand, its your own fault,

MONEY not a check or a "transfer" or anything, cash!!

I did not give away anything.

The one *buyer put the money into my account and I got suspicious. When I had my banker check it out, the cheque had been cancelled, so I immediately called off the sale, before making any arrangements to meet, etc.

...on a good note, we just sold a car through JunkMail. :] Happy dealings.

haha ja same happend to me, i once advertised a computer, guy called say he will take it, took my bank details down and deposited the money (check) then called, even fax'd me the deposit slip, then never heard from him again, 5 days later check cancelled. dunno why go through the effort though? hehe
