Computer Randomly getting stuck..

Hey guys, what do you think could be the problem of a computer that randomly gets like stuck, you can move the mouse but it won't let you click anything, then says that your firewall is disabled, when its not ??

Maybe spyware, cause it hjas anti-virus...

Well I dunno so I think I better come around and have a look ;)

Seriously what was the last thing you did before it started freezing?
 
Lol.. its not my Pc, its one im fixing, and you know how hard it is to fix a computer that only has an error sometimes... i ran Anti-virus, removed spyware, even installed a fan incase it was getting hot... And still it sometimes does it :)
 
sounds like a memory overload ... either in the cash or ram ...
what happens then it starts taking space from the hardrive and uses it as memory .. as you might know , if the hardrive has become to full ... it will freeze more and more often cuz there is less to use.. untill it booms out and restarts .. to dump everything.

thats just my 50c
 
Lol.. well it has 10 gigs free.. and 512 megs of ram

so i dunno :)

how many programmes run on it at once? in other words how random is it?
Are you having power spikes in that area ?
Once reset does it accure agian soon?


o and (not i jacking ur thread) my home pc does not start up ... it starts, finds the HD then stops there, on that page Black and white and then i press restart button and it does not work.. i have to unpluge the Power and wait 5 mion b4 i try agian .. get irratating ... what could it be?
 
@Vember - sounds like faulty PSU or MB... probably is your MB. What happens when you boot using a different PSU?
 
have not done that yet.. niether have i tried replacing the MB (finding an old one and checking ) thanks ,

I think it is time for an upgrade :rolleyes:
