My computer has been restarting for a while now. When i remove my card (7600), it doesn't, so I assumed that it was my power supply. I got a better power supply yesterday, but the problem is still there, what is wrong?

Have you tried uninstalling the video drivers, and reinstalling again?

What does your event log say - START -> RUN -> type in:
%SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s

Have a look in the System section to see why the PC crashes.

I just did that, and here is what is says:

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009c (0x00000004, 0x80546df0, 0xb2000000, 0x00070f0f). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini080308-02.dmp.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

I have tried different video drivers, from 93.** forceware to what I am currently using now, 169.21 forceware.

Let me try googling this error file...

I see that most people having this problem are using my current motherboard: k8n51gmf9 from gigabyte, and removing their video card seems to be the solution. I suspect corrupt divers on the card, what is the solution to that?

If people that have your specific mobo has the problem, why do you think it's a driver issue? It's a motherboard issue clearly.

Have you looked in the BIOS update section of your mobo if they have an update fixing this specific problem?

No specific fix for my mobo on the maufacturer's site. I am saying it is a driver issue because when the event logger code starts from 0x0000009c then it is a hardware fault that could be resulting from corrupt drivers.

Best way to see if it is a driver issue is to get a "driver cleaner", uninstall the driver with it, delete all left overs, download the "latest" driver and install it again.

start in safemode. Then uninstall drivers, and then use your original cd that came with the video card.Go to gigabyte site and download the bios program for updating the easy way.

Im still waiting for the random restart, im just going to try out memtest and check out my system memory and hopefully do the "safemode" route above.
