Guys my Mweb router technicolor what what keeps showing a red led on internet,its usually green but its red now can't do anything internet based.tryed calling Mweb regarding the issue i think they are afraid to say that they also don't know what the problem is.

Any ideas ??
 
This problem usually sits at the Telkom Exchange, I have had this problem a few times, and usually I would have to call telkom to sort this issue out, Service provider would usually log a request to telkom to find out what the problem is...

Hi Gallodeep, a port recreate is generally the first thing to rule off in these sort of scenarios. Please PM me your MWEB account details, so that I can look into this for you.

Tryed the guest account from telkom guess what it works,when i input my mweb credentials the red led of death pops up.

I don't think problem is on telkom's side because when using telkom's guest account it works.but when i use my mweb credentials it doesn't but after a dozens of restarts and waiting it solves it self.
 
This usually starts arroud 10pm, if that helps mweb guy.

Guys please any suggestion would be appreciated this issue is frustrating and now its gotten worse it does this everyday and mweb is trying but nothing seems to work i've tryed resetting the router to factory settings still nothing,switching the router off for half an hour,login in and out with my mweb credentials.still nothing.the issues solves it selve after some few hours.

Drop that rubbish FON router and get a proper router.
 
can u suggest a good one under a grand you know of. ?

Before you do that, I suggest you ask a friend or mweb to loan you a router to test, if it is the router I suggest a tplink w8970, it costs R890 from JHB stores.
