Concrete foundation treatment

Hi!

We were in the process of building an extension room onto our house. Long story short, we have to put this extension building on ice for a couple of years.

What we have done though, is to dig, compress and fill the foundation up to the concrete level. That is pretty much where we stopped. What I now want to do, is use this foundation floor as an outside patio until we continue with building the actual extension room.

The thing is, the foundation floor is very rough and just a concrete slab. So it gives off a lot of dust constantly.

So now, the question, what inexpensive way (without going with another level of screed etc) can I seal this rough and dry floor? Can I maybe just paint it with a strong roof paint or something? Keep in mind there will be patio furniture used on top of the floor.

Before painting maybe a cement bonding agent to bind the loose stuff.

thanks, that's a really good idea - will look into it.
